InEvent – Accessing Dynamic Networked Multimedia Events

May 9th, 2012 No comments

Started in November 2011, Klewel is part of a 3-year European-funded research project named inEvent. The main goal of inEvent is to develop new tools for working with recorded meetings, videoconferences, and lectures.

Meetings

Video-conferences

Lectures

The project involves 6 partners: 3 industrial ones and 3 non-profit research institutes:

In the first phase of this project, we are currently investigating user scenarios, user requirements and anticipating new ways of interacting with recorded meetings, video-conferences and lectures.

We are looking for two organizations that:

  • meet at least once a year,
  • cannot always get together but need to communicate,
  • would not mind having their meetings recorded and accessed by our automatic research tools.

For the right groups, this is a unique opportunity to communicate better, both in meetings and to the wider public.

To find out if your organization could benefit from working with us, have a look at this document, and do not hesitate to contact us.

May 2nd, 2012 No comments

In March 2011, Sophie Dow, the founder of the charity MindRoom organized a congress No Mind Left Behind in Glasgow, webcasted by Klewel.

Christopher Gillberg, Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The Gillberg Neuropsychiatry Centre in Gothenburg, was awarded the prestigeous Söderbergska Priset in Medicine on Monday 16th April in Stockholm. Preceeding the award ceremony was a seminal seminar titled ESSENCE, put together by Christopher Gillberg.

The video of the talk during the MindRoom congress has been made public:

The acronym ESSENCE stands for Early Symptomatic Syndromes Eliciting Neurodevelopmental Examinations and is a concept Christopher Gillberg introduced a few years ago. It is a generic term for all the overlapping conditions with early childhood onset. It also encourages parents and health professionals to work together as early as from birth if necessary. To register worries and then to track and accommodate them as the child grows.

Testimonial about Klewel from Sophie Dow, founder of Mindroom

May 24th, 2011 No comments

MindroomWhat do our clients think about us? End of March this year, the association “Mindroom” organized its fifth international conference, No Mind Left Behind – Social Brain 3, that took place at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Klewel was commissioned to record the entire event so that delegates participating to the conference and others, registered as virtual delegates, can watch the conference on demand, whenever and wherever they want, as soon as the conference was over.

To that day, more than 700 delegates have logged in to watch presentations of the conference via Klewel’s system.

Testimonial from Sophie Dow, Founder, Mindroom:
Edinburgh 23rd May 2011

Sophie Dow's Blog“Mindroom engaged Klewel to ‘capture’ our latest conference
‘No Mind Left Behind’, 29-30th March 2011 at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
It was an international conference on autism, ADHD and other early onset neurodevelopmental disorders featuring 51 leading world experts speaking and over 800 delegates from 19 different countries.
Commissioning Klewel to record the entire event was arguably one of the most important decisions taken by us during the 2-year project.

Not only could we then ensure that the outstanding scientific programme would live on past the two days of the conference, delegates were able to relax safe in the knowledge that they could revisit facts and figures at their leisure – as well as use the information for in house training. No more downloading of powerpoints, no more frantic note taking and no need for extra mega/giga bytes.

Simply type in a password and away you go.
Couldn’t be simpler, nor more efficient.

And with a simple ‘click’, Mindroom is now able to forward the information from ‘No Mind Left Behind’ to all corners of the globe.

Working with Mael and his colleagues at Klewel was an absolute pleasure and the service they provide is as professional and flexible as their specially developed and very clever software.”

It is a great pleasure to hear such a testimonial and motivates us even more to always provide the best service and support to our clients.
