On April 30th, a conference was organized around e-booking for hotels.
The 11th edition of “venture ideas @ EPFL” was organized on April 22nd, 2010 in partnership with the Collège du Management de la Technologie and Venturelab. Centered around the venture leaders laureates, it gave the opportunity to the 100+ participants to listen to 3 entrepreneurs: Robin Cornelius, Hubert Lorenz and Dominik Grolimund. It also gave the opportunity to listen to the elevator pitch of future entrepreneurs, the winners of venture leaders 2010.
We would especially recommend the talk from Hubert Lorenz about Mimotec: a successful LIGA story where he talked about the steps in building a 10 million CHF annual cash revenue company in 10 years.

Do you know the TED talks in the USA, TEDx around the world? Do you know LeWeb in Paris? Then you probably know about Lift?
Lift is a series of events built around a community of pioneers who get together in Europe and Asia to explore the social implications of new technologies. Lift is about answering questions like the following. What can the future do for you? What are the opportunities created by innovation? What technology will force a reinvention of your business model? What usage – spotted on the other side of the planet – could be relevant to your clients and organization?
Following our past collaboration with lift for the 2008 lift venture night and some of the 2009 lift workshops, we are very proud this year to be event partner of Lift10. The conference is happening next week, , 5-7 May 2010, in Geneva, Switzerland. The theme of this year conference is about “Connected people”.
Klewel’s contribution to Lift10? The on-demand videos will be available on a brand new personalized video portal… more about it very soon – stay tuned! We look forward to collaborating on this great event with Lift team (Laurent, Yves, Nicolas among others), Thierry Weber and Lumen8 folks at the CICG with Paul Hintermann and his team. Hope to see you at Lift10!
Last week, we attended the annual European Union United Nation-Procurement Forum in New York. The trip was organized by Bretagne International. A dozen of French companies (including 8 from Britanny) were attending the event in addition to more than a hundred European companies. This helps understanding how the United Nations is structured and how to do business with them.
