This week, Klewel is installing a full system at the Open University in the United Kingdom.

Thanks to a collaboration with Prof Jeffrey Johnson, the Open University bought a Klewel product. The objective is to capture courses in the department of Design, Development, Environment and Materials and more exactly on Complex Systems project.

That sounds like an interesting application of speech recognition and multimedia indexing. Are you using IDIAP meeting transcription system for the recognition and analysis ? Would be happy to collaborate on applying semantic adaptation models for robust indexing and retrieval.

Thanks for your comment. Our current version does use multimedia indexing based on text localization and optical character recognition. As of today, the Idiap meeting transcription system is not yet implemented in our current system. Automatic speech recognition will be implemented in our next version.
